Today, Friday 09 October, as Uganda celebrates its Independence Day, we at IGRAO (IROD Global Refugees Actions Organization) join all Ugandans in celebrating freedom, peace, unity, and the spirit of togetherness.
As a refugee led organization founded by refugees who have found a home in Uganda, we are deeply grateful to the Government and people of Uganda for opening their doors to people fleeing conflict and hardship. Uganda has given many of us not only shelter, but also an opportunity to rebuild our lives, educate our children, develop our skills, and contribute to our communities.

On this special day, we celebrate Uganda and reaffirm our commitment to working hand in hand with Ugandans to build resilient communities where refugees and host communities can thrive together.
