OUR ROOTS • ESTABLISHED 2018

Founded by Refugees, Focused on Grassroots Solutions

IGRAO was established in 2018 in Kyebitaka Block 04, Kyangwali Refugee Settlement, Kikuube District, Western Uganda.

As a registered Refugee Led Organization (RLO), IGRAO was founded by community members who experienced the daily hardships of displacement firsthand, including out of school children, chronic household nutrition deficits, and severe land constraints.

Rather than relying solely on temporary relief handouts, IGRAO designs community managed initiatives in basic education, community aquaculture, Matooke banana agronomy, and agroforestry that foster practical, long term self determination.
