Children growing up in refugee settlements face significant barriers to completing basic education, including long walking distances to school, overcrowded classrooms, lack of exercise books and learning supplies, and household economic hardship that forces children out of school.
Bridging Educational Gaps in Kyebitaka
To address these challenges, IGRAO works directly with parents, local leaders, and school committees in Kyebitaka village to provide targeted educational support. Our intervention includes distribution of scholastic supply kits, school fee grants for vulnerable orphans, and holiday coaching sessions to keep learners engaged.
Additionally, through our Girls’ Dignity initiatives, female learners receive sanitary kits and hygiene materials to prevent absenteeism and ensure girls attend classes with confidence throughout the academic term.
