IGRAO Africa Navigation

Community sensitization and dialogue form the foundation of every IGRAO initiative. Recently, IGRAO team members and local leaders convened in Kyebitaka village for an interactive community sensitization meeting with parents, guardians, and residents living near the IGRAO Nursery and Primary School site.

The primary focus of this meeting was to share upcoming activity plans for education and livelihoods, gather feedback from parents regarding holiday coaching sessions, and align on community contributions toward school development.

Education Program Priorities

  • IGRAO Primary School Development: Preparing infrastructure and teaching staff for full school opening.
  • Educational Sponsorships: Identifying vulnerable learners for school fee support.
  • Scholastic Materials: Direct distribution of exercise books, pencils, textbooks, and learning aids.
  • Girls’ Dignity Kits: Provision of hygiene supplies to improve retention for female learners.

The active participation and warm reception from Kyebitaka residents reinforce our shared commitment to expanding educational access and economic self-reliance across Kyangwali Settlement.
